The Make-ing it happen in shanghai

Niki is back from Shanghai and sent me a story and photos from George Marshall.

Tdown at the massive conrete park

Rail hop

International dance moves

Cruisin'

So me, Orlando, Nathan Beddows, Tom O’boyle, George Marshall, wozzy and the white wizard Loz Taylor set off our travels from the wonderful British countryside through the heat waves and high oil cash flow through Bahrain to our destination of Shanghai, China.

I couldn't’t even think of how this trip would be like in comparison to any other trip I've been on, visiting a communist country that doesn’t speak a word of English, which has the worlds largest skate park there, everyday had something new to offer whether being on or off you bike. The first couple of days were really just trying to figure out where we were on maps,. What food works best for each other and trying to immune to the ultimate of all smoggy cities.
We had a bit of a routine by now, leave the hostel point out a spot or Uni and go, eating on the way from BBQ men or wok men off the streets, my favourite was the eggy woman, she provided a kind of potato pancake wrapped in an egg, cooked under 2minutes and for the price of 1.4p, that shit was so good,
Before we knew it we was riding through the streets of shanghai like a rat in a bin with just one aim, RIDE!!!
There are so many ledges and blocks in shanghai that I thought I was playing Tetris everyday, Loz Taylor managed to score few points knocking them into shape with all sorts of grinding manoeuvres. The Skate park was about 40minutes ride from our hostel and every ride we took to the skate park was epic, just passing through big industrial business buildings through to the little villages to long open road to the park.
What can be said about the Skate park….. huge???? Smallest concrete bowl 7ft largest 18ft with pool coping and a capsule the size of your house with the Blackpool's big dipper as a roll-in, fucking amazing!!! Everything there was so good and interesting to ride you couldn't get bored plus you couldn't ride it all in one day there so much to it.
From the skate park you could see the big city buildings especially the bottle opener which is apparently the worlds 19th largest building, and its got a whole in it. Hahaha
So this is just a few minor things from the trip, I'm getting to excited remember the place so I'm gonna have to stop, just look out for the ride issue with the trip all we be explained better.

Where's Morgan, oh home for once!

For once Morgan is home, he sent in some news and pics:

Since interbike, I've been home and it's been nice! Lots O yard work, but I like it because it's not traveling for a change. I've been getting a little burned out on contests lately, so having a little break to be home riding with all my friends has been awesome!
The skatepark here in Tyler is really crappy, but just tooling around is fun and a good change of pace. Aside from riding, I've been cutting a lot of grass, and getting settled into the house we've owned for about 5 months and been gone for 4 of them! Rock Band has been raging and sting pong is off the hook! Myself and a few friends are about to rip everything out from under )"Old Blue" (my Toyota pickup and install a solid front axle conversion kit and some new rubber! It'll make the truck about 5 1/2 inches higher and give me way better handling! Off road machine here I come! Oh yeah, and I got a new toy to play with out behind the house!!!!! =P

We went out street riding and hit some really fun flat rail spots that I have some plans for if I can ever get Joe to drive up & film! I can't believe that in 11 years I've never ridden a few of the spots we rode yesterday or thought of jumping over the train rail thing!

Word,

Morgan.

Thanks to Jeff Brockmeyer here is some shots of Morgan up at Woodward:

Can't Stop The Content

As always, a ton of shit is going on around here. So here we go;

Super spy shots
We have been working on a V3 version of our new guard that will fit Profile hubs and regular hubs. Samples are being tested right now and we will keep you updated. This should be out Spring next year.
Also there is a new Sprocket design, we wanted to do something a little different to the spoke'd designs that are everywhere. Again were hoping Spring 09 we will have them for production.

Interbike video
Allride stopped by the booth to do a little video interview with Joe, you can check it out here.

Mr Bedford
He has been working like crazy on and off his bike. He is coming to Austin for 6 weeks next week so watch out!
Tire slide at Devo Green.

Bike Checks
Troy Swan from down under sent me a picture of his Mystic when he first got it built up. He has been working it double time on the streets and out on the track. Fuck yeah!

Ryan Galvan from Las Vegas just built up a Loosefer, tight!
