Russ over SPRFLS just posted up a pseudo bike check of Hanson's Chrome rig. Ain't it a beaut! This is a one off, so no you can't get one. The sprocket on there is our new Ethereal sprocket, out in April.
My friend Hanson, your all going to be seeing a lot more of Hanson this year, chrome and all. A few things you should know about Hanson; he has the worst luck at dice, he goes really fast and is obsessed with chrome.
1. throwing dice at ninth street. 2. jumping off anything into water. 3. utilizing the theater room at the mutiny retreat. 4. the fresh, young patrons and employees of whole foods 5. riding with all my friends from around the world in the comfort of my home town.
Congrats to Hanson and Joe for scoring the cover of the Dig. Cover is random to say the least. Our trip to the NW is featured in the mag, so go pick it up and give print some love.
It's hard to believe a lot of things about Justin, he should of been in a rock band but somehow picked up a BMX. He is going to be a high school teacher, in fact right now as I type his probably in front of a class room of kids teaching, little do his pupils know what Mr. Simpson does with his free time. 1. spots, spots, and more spots. 2. The constant flow of people. You always run into someone that you know. 3. Weather, although I haven't experienced a summer in Austin yet. 4. Food. The wide variety of places to eat is nice, as long as you're nowhere near Whole Foods. 5. extracurricular activities. When you're not riding, you can always find something else going on in Austin.
Just landed are the new Tie Dye shirts. These are super limited and we will be posting more info on them soon.2 new rides: 1st up is James Beattie's Hemi and 2nd Spenser Lee's Loosefer. Thanks for the support!
Brandon is one the chillest people I know, even his riding is chill. Whenever we are lucky enough to get Brandon down to Austin, he fits in a treat down here and enjoys Austin's laid back vibe.
Brandon Hoerres 1) Whole Foods (specifically "the Big John") 2) Office Space 3) Veggie Heaven 4) Pros, bros, n hoes? 5) Theres No Snow!!!
We went out to do some shooting on Sunday and I forced Hanson to do a tailwhip! haha! He hates tailwhips and he doesn't do them but he felt like he needed to hit the trick buffet and throw it down. Man was he hungry! Good day on Sunday, got some clips hit the adult book store and played with bums! Ahhhhh the life of BMX!
The name Burlish was not just a clever name it was a set of trails that Sponge rode and dug at for sometime. Recently Tom, AKA Milk started riding again. Tom was one of the original diggers at the spot and definitely a trail boss. We hooked Tom up with a new 420 Baked Burlish, here it is: Thanks to Homer for the image!
Ryan is a true Austinite, he also possess the Smith gene that enable you to be good at whatever you touch. Enjoy his Austin top 5's"

We have been getting a lot of e-mails asking when more Product will be available; Glams, Loosefers, Cosmotrons, Mystics, Stems etc etc. Just to let you all know you it should be landing worldwide 1st week in April and early March we will be previewing everything on the site.
Ryan should be in town this weekend to drop some hammers with Hanson. And of course hang out at wholefoods. Randy is moving into his new spot in Fort Worth right about now.
Hunter might be my favorite douche bag, he is also going to be on “FUEL TV presents Camp Woodward” on February 11(TODAY), at 9:00 pm Eastern Time (6:00 pm Pacific Time).
We are lucky to have a lot of friends that are photographers. I just got these gems in my inbox of Mr. Martinez. Photo credits from Left to Right; Rick Crossman, James Stevens and Greg Dickson.
I stole the last 2 images from the Etnies site, hopefully Povah won't kill me.
George was lucky enough to see M83 play this weekend. Here his take on the show:
So I've been listening to M83 for about a year now, and was lucky enough to get to witness their epicness in person last week. Going to the show, I had absolutely no idea what to expect set-up wise for the band; I wasn’t sure if I was about to watch a DJ go at it, a regular band, or a full-out orchestra. They ended up being a group of four –drums, bass, guitar, and keyboard/electronics. It was the band’s last stop of the tour with The Killers, and unfortunately M83 was the opening act which only allowed them a 30-minute set at Nokia Live, a very large venue. Nonetheless, the light show that went on during the set was wild/crazy and completely perfect for their music. They chose to play most of their more upbeat songs with more vocals, which ended up being about 3-4 songs off their new album Saturdays=Youth, and 3-4 off of Before the Dawn Heals Us. They also played a couple of their cosmic “shoegazing” songs as well. I'd have to say it was the most intense and powerful musical/audio experience of my entire life. The sounded really amazing live, especially the one girl in the band, who was behind the keyboard/electronics – she had a very powerful voice live. They wrapped the show up with a hard jam session at the end of "A Guitar and a Hear," and I'd say the show was nothing short of epic. -George Boyd.
We just put up a glimpse of the new 09 Loosefer that will be out in April. Randy has been riding a prototype of the last 4 months, the new version features some nice revisions that have helped us shave some weight off with out sacrificing any strength. Click the box below to find out more. We will be posting more info up closer to it's time of release.
Good friend and photographer supreme, Walter Pieringer just updated his site with some new images. I found this gem of Hanson on it!
Up in Smoke just came out and is well worth a look, it's a fiver if your in the UK. This was when Roey was doing his best Paul B impression, super elusive. Josh riding the Broady banks, Robbo holding it down at his trail, he goes about 6 feet higher than everyone else. Our ex Niki, best break up ever, rocking the shit out of everything.
Niki is moving on, as of today he is no longer on the team. Where is he going? I can't tell you, you'll find out when the time is right. I would like to thank Niki for everything he has done for Mutiny over the years. Everyone here wishes Niki the best and wants to see him in Austin soon, real soon. The best thing to come out of this is Niki and I are still tight, this can put a huge stress on a friendship but Niki has been straight with me from day 1, when he was thinking about leaving.
I asked Niki for a few words and of course he went the whole the way; words, pics and a video.
"So here it is the time has come to move on and do my own thing for a while. Without acknowledging it, change is always in the air and the future, no matter what we say or do you can't prevent change and that's what this is about more than anything.
As simple as it gets, there's no fall outs, no bad attitude, no demands, no pressure. Just straight up 'Mutiny' is heading in a direction that I don't feel is me, as in image. Gaz has been there since I was young ya know, been like an older brother to me, on and off a bike. Whether I've needed a place to stay, food or just someone to listen to my problems, he has been there for me. Thank you! Which is why this is so hard to do, its definitely more like leaving a family than a team, which is what 'Mutiny' has been about; full on bro down!
If kids wanna bitch about this on the come up or any other site, then please do but what you have here is mine and Gaz's point of view and we are saying it how it is. There doesn't have to be problems, money, issues for someone to make a decision in BMX, I'm simply writing this to show my appreciation to Gaz and every one at 'Mutiny' 'Mutiny' has given me the best opportunities to ride my bike and meet some of the greatest people, for example hanging out with Morgan in Canada through too riding street with Little Hunter around Austin. It has been such a pleasure to meet and hang out with every single one of you. Roey, little Robbo, Josh, Ryan, Joe, Justin, Hanson(you're my hero), Randy, George, Morgan(the biggest man in bmx) Aron H, Empire BMX, Walter, Taj (thanks for letting me ride the ramp in '07 it was incredible), Danny, Aaron....I really can't remember many more, there's too many.
I'll still wear 'Mutiny' tees, this ain't war, its BMX and I wanna support my friend. Seriously Gaz, thanks for looking out for me and being there I hope I've done a good job showing what 'Mutiny' is about whilst been on the team and I am thankful for all the trips and involvement with something so great. Best of luck with the future, i got to go do my own thing for a while. MUTINY, MUTINY!"-Niki Croft
"You see people all over BMX leaving teams and saying thanks, but when I say thanks 'Mutiny' I really mean thanks, I've never thought to myself once that this is a company, I think of it as my friends, beers, going to shows. Bike or not I would be hanging out with these guys, there's no better crew than being with ya bros"-Niki Croft
