Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Mutiny Bikes?

Mutiny Bikes is a small, independent rider owned & operated BMX company. We produce small runs of high-quality, affordable BMX hardware & apparel for the beginner & pro alike. We strive to get you psyched on BMX - cause it's damn fun (and chicks dig scars).

When Did Mutiny First Start?

In 1998 by Steev Inge as a way of getting affordable BMX gear in the hands of poor BMXers everywhere. It seemed to work as well, because Mutiny slowly assembled a core of dedicated team riders with an equally supportive fan base. In 2005, Mutiny changed hands with new owners Joe Simon and Gaz Sanders. They continue the tradition of quality and affordability in BMX products, but without the cartoon skull graphics & inside pirate jokes.

In the long run, no. Mutiny's team is built up of people who are awesome on or off their bikes. We always get to know our riders from hanging out with them and bro'ing down. A good attitude gets you further in this company than anything else. But we'll still accept ridiculously funny "sponsor-me" tapes: Mutiny Bikes1209 W Oltorf, Austin Texas 78704-5330.
